Aunty Samira (as she is affectionately called by IGDF girls), is passionate about girl child education, especially within the Muslim community. She firmly believes that inspiring and motivating Muslim girls to acquire holistic education will empower them to excel in the rapidly emerging world, while being confident in maintaining their religious identity. It will also equip them adequately to grow up into phenomenal and versatile women who will make the desired impact in our society.
She believes it is imperative to give back to the community that moulded her. This she learned from her dear father, the late Alhaji Danlad Sulemana who was a philanthropist at heart till his demise, through his Islamic Development Foundation.
In her words, “No child should be left behind, especially the Muslim girl. This why IGDF is dear to my heart and motivates me to do my very best to ensure that. That is what my father lived for, and that is the only way I can keep his legacy living on.”
She loves travelling, shopping, spending time with her family and friends, and community outreach.
